Tony Szczudlo graduated from the American Academy of Art in 1989, began working in fantasy art the following year, and started freelancing for FASA Corporation in 1991, publishing his first professional painting in FASA's Jade Falcon Sourcebook in 1992.
He served as lead artist for TSR's Birthright campaign setting through the late 1990s, and his work spans Dungeons & Dragons, Shadowrun, BattleTech, and Earthdawn. While on staff at Wizards of the Coast he also illustrated for the Harry Potter Trading Card Game and Magic: The Gathering.
