Privacy

The short version

This is a reference site. There are no accounts, no advertising, no tracking cookies, and nothing here is sold or shared with anyone. The only personal information the site ever receives is what you type into the contact form, and that goes straight to my inbox.

Analytics

The site uses Vercel Analytics to count page views and see which pages people actually use. It records the page visited, the referring site, and coarse details like country, browser, and device type. It does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other sites.

What is stored in your browser

Three small values are stored locally, on your device only. They are never sent to a server, and none of them identify you.

One remembers that you dismissed the announcement banner, so it stays dismissed. One remembers that you dismissed the tip bar, for the same reason. One notes that the header's opening animation has already played in this tab, so it plays the shorter version afterwards instead of repeating in full.

Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes all three.

The contact form

If you send a message, the name, email address, subject, and message you enter are emailed to me through Resend, the service that delivers mail for this site. A copy is also sent back to the address you entered, so you have a record of what you sent.

Messages are not added to any mailing list, and there is no mailing list to be added to. Your address is used to reply to you and nothing else.

The form also keeps a short-lived, in-memory count of recent submissions per IP address to limit spam. It is not written to a database and does not survive a server restart.

Third-party services

Card prices and listings come from eBay's public APIs. Those requests are made by this site's server, not by your browser, so eBay does not see who you are when a page loads. Following a listing link takes you to eBay, where their own privacy policy applies.

Population report links point to PSA and CGC. Those are ordinary outbound links, and those sites' own policies apply once you follow one.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server request logs.
