David A. Roach

David A. Roach is a Welsh comic book artist who began in the industry through his self-published fanzine Hellfire before studying Fine Art and Philosophy and joining the art droids of 2000 AD in late 1986, penciling strips including Judge Dredd, Judge Anderson, and Galaxy Rangers.

He drew on Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman's revival of Miracleman for Eclipse Comics, and in the 1990s moved into work for DC (Batman, Demon) and, later, licensed titles for Dark Horse including Aliens: Horror Show and Alien³: Terminal Addiction. He has also built a parallel career as a comics historian, co-editing The Warren Companion (2001) and the revised Slings and Arrows Comics Guide (2003).
