Daren Bader

Daren Bader was born in Monterey County, California, in 1966, and has spent three decades as a concept artist and art director in games and entertainment, working with Disney, Nintendo, Capcom, and Rockstar.

As a fine artist, Bader has painted somewhere between 150 and 200 Magic: The Gathering cards, nearly all in traditional oil and acrylic on illustration board, and his work has appeared in fifteen of the twenty-two Spectrum Fantastic Art annuals. His 2015 graphic novel Tribes of Kai was published by Flesk, and his work has since been acquired by the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.
