Arnie Swekel

Arnie Swekel was born May 2, 1964, and grew up in River Rouge, Michigan. Largely self-taught after a single semester at what is now the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, he began his professional career at twenty-seven.

Swekel has produced interior art for Dungeons & Dragons and Dragon magazine since 1992, including cover work for the Psionics Handbook (2001), Manual of the Planes (2001), and Epic Level Handbook (2002), alongside card illustrations for Magic: The Gathering. He now works as a principal artist at Raven Software.
