Alex Horley

Born Alessandro Orlandelli in Opera, outside Milan, Alex Horley taught himself English by reading comic books and trained at Milan's Academy of Fine Arts. He adopted the pseudonym Alex Horley after graduating, believing his given name would be difficult for editors to remember, and cites Frank Frazetta as his formative influence.

Horley has painted for Heavy Metal magazine, Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse, and has been a longtime contributor to Wizards of the Coast properties including Magic: The Gathering, alongside work for Blizzard's World of Warcraft and Diablo franchises.
